The MSI-4000 Isolated Analog Input Card is designed for acquiring analog data in harsh electrical environments with IBM PC/XT/AT personal computers and compatibles. The unit is particularly useful in RTU, SCADA, and monitoring and control applications. Commonly encountered ground loop currents and voltages and large common-mode voltages associated with industrial monitoring applications are eliminated by onboard circuitry. The unit provides four isolated 12-bit differential input channels with ±1 LSB conversion accuracy at rates up to 6,000 samples/second. Jumper selectable input ranges of 0-1V, 0-5V, 0-10V, ±5V, ±10V, 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA are available (other ranges on request). Active isolated 20 mA outputs are provided for powering transducer transmitters. Isolation voltage of 750V from input-to-input and from input-to-bus with a overvoltage of 100V at the input. I/O addresses are switch selectable. Requires +5V, +12V and -12V.
